Grace Christian girls hand Nikiski its first conference loss

Katelyn Perry had 22 points and Anna Harvard added 20 as Grace Christian knocked off the No. 3-ranked Nikiski girls 52-49 Friday in Southcentral Conference play in Anchorage.

The Bulldogs, who sustained their first loss in the conference this season, hit eight 3-pointers in the contest. Sarah Herrin had three of the trifectas en route to a game-high 24 points. Becka Carlson added 10 points for Nikiski, which was playing without injured starter Hannah Thompson.

Grace Christian boys 66, Nikiski 51

The Grizzlies outscored the Bulldogs 22-7 in the third quarter en route to a Southcentral Conference victory over the visiting Bulldogs Friday.

Chris Curren had 18 points for Nikiski, while Chad Holloway added 17 points, including five 3-pointers.

CIA girls 38, Homer JV 36

Alyse Bell poured in 19 points as the host Eagles edged the Mariners Saturday in nonconference action.

Nikolaevsk boys 83, Seldovia 80

The Warriors defeated the Sea Otters in a Peninsula Conference shootout Saturday in Seldovia.

Anecta Kalugin paced the Warriors with 28 points while Stepan Nikitenko scored 22 and Joel Tutt scored 13.

Colton Collier scored 36 for the Sea Otters while Jimmie Payton netted 15.

Bristol Bay boys 100, Seldovia 75

The Angels took a high-scoring Peninsula Conference game at Seldovia Saturday.

Zack Klein scored 36 points to lead Bristol Bay while Travis Lons netted 20.

Colton Collier scored 30 to lead Seldovia and Jimmie Payton chipped in with 23.

Skagway girls 51, Ninilchik 36

Skagway defeated Ninilchik at the Tok Round Robin Tournament Friday in Tok.

Savannah Ames paced Skagway with 17 points.

Jennifer Erickson scored 12 and Kendra Moerlein netted 10 for the Wolverines.

Grace Christian girls 53, Seward 41

The Grizzlies notched a Southcentral Conference win Saturday in Anchorage.

Anna Harvard led the Grizzlies with 16 points while Erin Sailors scored 12.

Teal Hetrick scored 11 for the Seahawks, who trailed by two after the first quarter but were outscored 13-3 in the second quarter.

Morgan Wynne scored 19 points to lead the Grizzlies while Coty Beck paced the Seahawks with 16.
