Love INC fund-raiser promises no speeches

Love INC is taking a new approach to its annual fund-raiser dinner Monday, with no speeches and no program.

The dinner will feature the Body of Christ breaking bread and "remembering what Christ taught and letting his words enrich our lives and make us wise; teaching them to each other and singing them out in psalms, hymns and spiritual songs, singing to the Lord with thankful hearts," said Janine Espy, executive director.

People are asked to observe a 24-hour fast before the 4:30 p.m. event, which begins with prayer time until 5:30, followed by homemade soup and bread being served at 6 and singing at 6:30.

A love offering will be taken to benefit the work of Love INC.

The fund-raiser will be at the Kenai New Life Assembly of God Church, 209 Princess Lane. For more information, call 283-5252. Everyone is invited.
