Nikiski girls rebound from loss

Nikiski's Sarah Herrin equaled the Heritage Christian girls team's entire scoring output Saturday, scoring a team-high 18 points as the Bulldogs rebounded from Friday's loss to Grace Christian with a 53-18 mauling of Heritage in Southcentral Conference play in Anchorage.

Sasha Auldridge added 13 points for the No. 3-ranked Bulldogs.

Heritage boys 89, Nikiski 45

Travis McGahan's 17 points weren't enough to keep up with a furious offensive attack by Heritage Saturday, as the Eagles swooped to an easy 89-45 win in Anchorage over the Bulldogs.

Tok Round Robin

Ninilchik girls 36, Galena 27

Ninilchik got 12 points from Kendra Moerlein and 10 from Emily Wood as the Wolverines finished the Tok Round Robin with a 36-27 win over Galena. Jennifer Erickson added seven points for Ninilchik, Krista Leman chipped-in five and Emily Wood added two.

Tok boys 60, Ninilchik 50

Josh Christman and Matthew Gallen combined for 38 points as the host Tok boys pulled out a 60-50 win over Ninilchik on Saturday. Conner Cooper poured in 19 points in a losing effort for the Wolverines, while Javin Halpin added 17.

Friday's games

Seward girls 58, Heritage 21

Lara Loomis made three 3-pointers en route to a game-high 18 points as Seward had no trouble with Heritage Christian, picking up a 58-21 Southcentral Conference win Friday in Anchorage.

Heritage boys 80, Seward 51

Seward was no match for Heritage Friday, as the Eagles jumped out to a 47-17 halftime lead and never looked back, posting an 80-51 win over the visiting Seahawks. Ryan Dieckgraeff led Seward with 13 points, while Coty Beck added 12.
