LeeShore board meets today

The LeeShore Center board will meet at 5:30 p.m. today at the center at 325 S. Spruce St. in Kenai. For more information, call 283-9479.

Little League registration begins

Registration for Soldotna Little League will be held at the Soldotna Little League Bingo Hall by Sal’s Diner on the following dates: from 5 to 8 p.m. and Thursday and March 6, 7, 8, 12, 13, 20, 21 and 22; and from noon to 5 p.m. March 17 and 24. Registration fees are $40 for T-ball and coach pitch and $50 for minors through high school.

SoHi softball registration planned

A registration meeting for Soldotna High School softball players will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday in the library. Registration packets will be distributed for players.

School offers up entertainment

Kalifornsky Beach Elementary School will present its intermediate musical, “Fiddler on the Roof” at 7 p.m. Thursday at Soldotna High School. Admission is free.

Get Fido chipped and buy a lamp

The Kenai Kennel Club will hold a microchip clinic from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at its facility in the C Plaza on the Kenai Spur Highway in Kenai. Chips are $25 each.

KKC members also will hold a garage sale at the club from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. to help with future activities. For more information, call 335-2552.

Community dance planned

Peninsula Artists in Motion Dance Company’s annual winter ball fundraiser will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Challenger Learning Center of Alaska in Kenai. Live music, catered hors d’oeuvres and wine and beer tasting are some of the planned activities. A silent art auction will feature several local artists.

Tickets are $50 per person and are available at River City Books, Already Read, Charlotte’s and Encore Dance Academy. For more information, call Deb Nyquist at 283-1683.

Historical society to meet

The Kenai Historical Society will meet at 1 p.m. Sunday downstairs at the Church of the New Covenant. Andy Anderson, who was stationed at Wildwood Army Base in the 1950s and came back to Kenai to live after his discharge will be the featured speaker. It is open to the public.

Asperger’s syndrome meeting slated

An informative meeting to learn more about Asperger’s Syndrome, a social disorder that makes it difficult to function in social areas, will be held at 6 p.m. Monday at Kenai Public Health. For more information, call 335-0109 or e-mail crazy8s@alaska.net.

Youth court offered

Kenai Peninsula Youth Court will hold weekly classes for new Youth Court attorneys from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the former Kenai courthouse. Classes are offered free to students in grades seven through 12. Classes end May 1. For more information, call Ginny at 398-4027.

Swim lessons offered in Nikiski

Semi-private swim lessons will be held at Nikiski pool March 6 through 16. Registration ends Monday or until classes are filled. For more information, call Nigel at 776-8800.
