ANCHORAGE (AP) -- A toddler injured in a vehicle rollover accident on the Seward Highway last week died early Monday, Alaska State Troopers said.

Anna Valcarcel, 4, was thrown from the vehicle in the accident, which occurred Feb. 23 near Hope Junction. She was taken to Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage in critical condition.

The girl's mother, Emma Valcarcel, 29, of Anchorage, was driving her mini-van on the highway when she struck a snow berm, lost control of the vehicle and it rolled over.

Four other children were in the vehicle at the time. One boy suffered a broken arm.
