Wrestling club begins practice

The Soldotna Whalers Freestyle Wrestling Club will hold practice from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays in the Soldotna High School upper gym.

Fish and game advisory to meet

The Seward Fish and Game Advisory Committee will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Seward City Council Chambers.

GED, computer class slated

The Kenai Peninsula College Learning Center will hold a GED and a basic computer class from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday at Sterling Elementary School. There will be instruction regarding GED preparation and testing, computer skills and educational opportunities for adults. Janice Habermann from the KPC Learning Center and Grace Merkes of Sterling will instruct. Refreshments will be served.

La Leche League plans meeting

The La Leche League will meet at 11 a.m. Friday at 141 Trumpeter Ave. in Soldotna. For more information, call Olga Krejci at 262-9291.

Active parenting of teens workshop set

The Kenai Peninsula Community Care Center will offer an eight-week parenting workshop titled "Active Parenting of Teens" from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at Central Peninsula General Hospital in the Iliamna room. There is no fee.

Peace choir slide show scheduled

The International Peace Choir will show slides of its trip at 7 p.m. Friday in the Kenai Peninsula College commons. There is no charge. For more information, call 262-0434.

Kids invited to cheer camp

The Skyview High School cheerleaders will hold a cheer camp for K-8 grades Saturday at the school. Registration is from 9 to 10 a.m. Cost for camp is $30. For more information, call Lisa Legner at 262-2877.

Healthy Communities-Healthy People is seeking vendors and volunteers for the ninth annual Village Fair to be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 13 at Soldotna High School.

Hospital auxiliary meeting set

The Central Peninsula General Hospital Auxiliary will meet at 1:30 p.m. March 17 in the Borealis room.
