Kenai pool begins swim lessons

Kenai Central High School swimming lessons for 3- and 4-year-olds will be held from 1:30 to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday beginning today. The cost is $40. For more information, call 283-7476.

Fish and Game committee meeting set

The Kenai-Soldotna Fish and Game Advisory Committee will meet at 6:30 p.m. March 10 at the Kenai River Center. A special election will take place to fill a vacant seat designated for personal-use subsistence member. The topic of discussion will be on Kenai River issues and fishing regulation proposals for the Board of Fish 2005 cycle. Cooper Landing to hold winter festival

The Cooper Landing Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Bureau will host its "Gem of the Kenai" winter festival March 12 through 14 in Cooper Landing.

Scheduled events include a snowmachine fun run, snowman sculpture contest, a contra dance, ice skating, bonfires, volleyball tournament, book sale, art show, photo contest, sleigh and pony rides, face painting, a dart tournament and Friday night bingo at the Community Hall. Wolf to hold town hall meeting

Rep. Kelly Wolf, R-Kenai, will hold a town hall meeting from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 13 at the Kenai Peninsula Borough Assembly chambers. Scorekeepers clinic slated

Preschool to hold fund-raiser

The Soldotna Cooperative Preschool will hold a spaghetti feed fund-raiser from 4 to 7 p.m. April 17 at Christ Lutheran Church on the corner of Kenai Spur Highway and Soldotna Avenue.
