Longtime Homer resident Michael “Harpo” Holzheimer died Saturday, Feb. 24, 2007, at his home. He was 52.
Per the family’s request no services will be held.
Mr. Holzheimer was born to Marvin and Constance (Aikens) Holzheimer on Dec. 2, 1954, in Orofino, Idaho. He moved to Seldovia with his family in 1969. In his younger years he worked as a commercial fisherman in the later years he worked in construction. Michael was a musician and loved music. He played harmonica and guitar and would play anywhere and anytime.
“Besides his love for music, the love he had for his children and grandchildren was stronger than anything. We will all miss you Michael, you will never be forgotten,” his brother said.
Mr. Holzheimer was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by daughters, Heather Cummings and Allison Godwin; brothers, John, Fred and Marvin Holzheimer; and sister, Carolyn Broussard.
Arrangements were made by the Homer Funeral Home.
