Improvement in Games appreciated

Posted: Monday, March 01, 2010

I want to thank all who make Peninsula Winter Games possible. I was not able to make it down for the Peninsula Winter Games this year but I was following it through the Peninsula Clarion.

There was publicity prior to the Games and then after the games there was follow up. Thank you Peninsula Clarion.

Last year I was very outspoken in my dissapointment in how the Peninsula Winter Games were handled, so this year I will give my thanks for the much improvement. It looked like there were a lot of fun things for the kids to do. The addition of the ice slide was great. From what I read that was a popular event for the kids. Fun for kids in the winter is what my father had in mind when he started the Peninsula Winter Games many years ago.

I know that many many hours of hard work goes into putting on an event such as this and I want to thank everyone who had a part in it. I didn't see the list of board memebers so I don't know who you all are but each one involved knows their involvement. Each of you keep up the good work that you are doing. I appreciate your work in keeping this event going each year. As I said last year if I can be of any help I am willing to help in any way possible because I want to keep my father's dream alive.
