Anchorage woman struck, killed by pickup truck

ANCHORAGE (AP) -- A 37-year-old Anchorage woman was killed after being struck by a pickup truck early Saturday morning.

Anchorage police said Mary Custer was crossing the Glenn Highway at Bragaw Street when she was hit by a Ford F-150. Witnesses told police that the truck, driven by 23-year-old Joseph Abbott Repp, had the green light and was moving at or below the speed limit.

Police believe alcohol was a factor. No charges were filed.
