Mr. Daniels' class is taking a trip to Mars to control a Martian rover to analyze data. Then students will take a field trip to Denali National Park. They learn about how animals adapt to their surroundings. The field trips will be conducted online at efieldtrips.com.

Mrs. McBee's class is investigating waves in science. They are learning that waves can be visible or invisible, constructing models of waves in order to observe concrete examples and characteristics of wave motion.

The Girls' Science Club meets Tuesday and Thursday after school. Students participate in discovery--based lessons that focus on the science process skills, meeting and talking with women scientists and working with peers who have a similar interest. The Science Club is open to girls in fourth through sixth grades.

Mrs. Tobin's class will raffle off a mountain bike. All proceeds will go to their field trip to Seldovia. They have masks and legends on display at River City Books.

First-graders celebrated Love of Reading Week and learned about teeth.

Dates to remember:

Friday — Students in good standing activities;

Tuesday through March 10 — Jump Rope For Heart and

March 10 — Spaghetti dinner and auction at the school at 5:30 p.m.
