Highway crash kills Kenai man

Posted: Wednesday, March 03, 2004

A 25-year-old Kenai man died Tuesday when the tractor-trailer truck he was driving struck a guardrail and flipped over on the Seward Highway north of Seward.

Keven Hall, a driver for Kenai-based Carlile Transportation Systems, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Alaska State Troopers.

Hall reportedly lost control of the flatbed truck carrying a load of steel I-beams on a curve.

By late Tuesday afternoon, troopers had not yet determined the cause of the accident. Light snow was falling at the time of the accident. An investigation is continuing.

Emergency medics from Bear Creek, Moose Pass and Seward Ambulance responded to the scene, and troopers closed the highway periodically throughout the day as the steel and wreckage were removed.
