Etta Anna Frizzell

Kenai resident Mrs. Etta Anna Frizzell, 66, died Sunday, Feb. 28, 2010, at Central Peninsula Hospital in Soldotna with her husband, R.E. and friends by her side.

Funeral services and a viewing will be held in Robertsdale, Ala., Saturday, March 6, with times to be announced.

Memorial services will be held in Alaska at a later date. Pastor Rick Cupp will officiate.

Mrs. Frizzell was born June 7, 1943, to Douglas and Etta (Rogers) Dixon in Leaf, Miss. She attended high school in Lucedale, Mississippi and was a resident of Robertsdale, Ala., from 1961 until moving to Soldotna in 1994. In 1995 she moved to Kenai where she has lived up until the present. Mrs. Frizzell was a dental technician in Baldwin and Mobile County in Alabama from 1972 to 1993. She was a member of the Kenai Fellowship Church of Christ in Kenai.

"Anna enjoyed helping children and helping care for the elderly. She loved homemaking, taking care of the sick, needy or elderly. Anna also enjoyed fishing with her family and friends," her family said.

Mrs. Frizzell was preceded in death by her sisters, Jeannette and JoAnn; and parents.

She is survived by her husband, R.E. Frizzell of Kenai; sons, John Richerson and his wife, Ita of Robertsdale, Ala., and Stephen (Buddy) Richerson of Dadeville, Ala.,; daughters, Cheryl D'andrea and her husband, Billy of East Norriton, Pa., and Denise Ross of Robertsdale; former son-in-law, John Ross of Robertsdale; former husband, John Richerson of Robertsdale; grandchildren, Justin B. Ross, USAF of Ellworth AFB, S.D., Steven Dandrea of East Norriton, Pa., Sam Dandrea of East Norriton, Pa., Jacqueline Cherigo of Robertsdale; step-children, Michael Frizzell of Atlanta, Todd Frizzell of Rosinton, Ala., and Susan Frizzell Dobson of Foley, Ala.; sisters, Janice Hancock of Smith County, Miss., Carol Bagalman of Metairie, La., and Iris Davis of Robertsdale; brothers, John Dixon of Sylvarena, Miss., Bo Dixon of Bay Springs, Miss,, and Doyle Dixon of Leaf, Miss.

The family suggests that memorial donations may be made in memory of Anna to charity or church of the donors choice.

Arrangements were made by Peninsula Memorial Chapel.
