Earthquake detected south of King Salmon

ANCHORAGE (AP) -- A 4.8-magnitude earthquake hit off Alaska at 5:33 p.m. Saturday about 75 miles south of King Salmon.

Guy Urban of the West Coast and Alaska Tsunami Warning Center said the center had received no reports that the earthquake was felt.

The quake was estimated be 94 miles deep.

The quake was 340 miles southwest of Anchorage.
