GED, computer class slated

The Kenai Peninsula College Learning Center will hold a GED and a basic computer class from 4 to 6 p.m. today at Sterling Elementary School. There will be instruction regarding GED preparation and testing, computer skills and educational opportunities for adults. Janice Habermann from the KPC Learning Center and Grace Merkes of Sterling will instruct. Refreshments will be served.

Soroptimists to meet

The Soroptimist International of the Twin Cities will hold its monthly business meeting at 5:30 p.m. today at the Peninsula Christian Center at the corner of Farnsworth and Cohoe in Soldotna. For more information, call Brenda at 260-6014.

Nikiski senior parents to meet

The Nikiski Middle-Senior High School parents of seniors will meet at 6:30 p.m. today in the school library. The topic will be the after-graduation party. All senior parents are encouraged to attend. For more information, call Pam Russell at 776-8602.

Fish and game advisory meeting set

The Seward Fish and Game Advisory Committee will meet at 7 p.m. today at the Seward City Council Chambers. The topic will be the Board of Fish proposals for Cook Inlet. For more information, call Jim McCracken at (907) 224-3701.

TAG meeting slated

The TAG (Teen Age Grief) support group will meet at 9 p.m. March 12 at Godfather's Pizza. The topic of discussion is "You're not going crazy, you're grieving." The group is designed to offer support to teens who have experienced a death of someone. For more information, call Sue at 262-0453.

Social Security reps to visit area

Social Security administration representatives will be on the Kenai Peninsula from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 16 at Seward City Hall; from noon to 4 p.m. March 17 at Kenai City Hall; and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 18 at the Homer Senior Citizens Center. Little League umpires sought
