Alaska's future is in the hands of our next president. President George W. Bush supports opening the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge and developing Alaska assets for Alaskans. John Kerry opposes using our resources to help ourselves.
Will our future be prosperous as new oil and gas developments expand our economy under President Bush's leadership? Or will we be in deeper recession because the Democrats take the White House and promote their agenda of economic regression, preferring to cater to tiny minority environmental groups rather than Alaskans who need jobs?
I remember Sept. 11, 2001. I remember a president who showed courage in the face of unknown terror. After eight long years of being ashamed of the presidency because of Mr. Clinton's perversion and cowardice, I was proud of President George W. Bush. Proud because he stood with integrity and did what was right and struck our enemies because it was the right thing to do.
America needed George W. Bush because he was a man of iron who was not cowed by our enemies. America still needs George W. Bush. As the very heart of our nation is divided by social warfare over morality, our enemies are not
at rest. Traditional American and Alaska values are at risk from within and without. We need our president to return to the White House and continue to fight for freedom.
