Kenai resident Valerie Jean Page died Wednesday, March 3, 2004, after a long struggle with cancer at her home. She was 66.
Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, March 6, at Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church in Kenai.
Mrs. Page was born Dec. 7, 1937, in San Francisco, Calif., where she was raised and graduated from high school. She moved to Alaska in 1995 and lived in Fairbanks, Anchorage and Tok before making Kenai her home.
Mrs. Page was a member of Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church in Kenai. She was a much-loved housewife and enjoyed sewing, crocheting, gardening and cooking.
"Val will be remembered with love and affection as someone who loved life and people. She was always willing to try new things, was a wonderful cook and a good and caring friend and wife. She brightened our lives and our hearts," her family wrote.
She is survived by her husband, Gilbert Page, of Gakona.
Arrangements were made by Peninsula Memorial Chapel.
