The Nikiski girls basketball team wrapped up an undefeated season in the Southcentral Conference on Friday with a 68-17 victory at Susitna Valley.
Sasha Auldridge had 21 points for the Bulldogs, while Sarah Herrin had 14 points and Hannah Thompson had 12 points.
Susitna Valley boys 69, Nikiski 37
The host Rams pulled away after the first quarter to record a Southcentral Conference victory over the Bulldogs on Friday.
Travis Clark paced Su Valley with 20 points, while Colin Olner and Boone Howard each added 14 points. Justin Vance had 18 points for Nikiski, while Rick Miller added 10 points.
Wasilla girls 63, Soldotna 53
The host Warriors remained undefeated in the Northern Lights Conference by holding off a Soldotna comeback.
Wasilla had a 38-20 lead at halftime. Liz Denna had 17 points for Soldotna, while Paige Blackburn had 13 points and Christa Kennedy had 11 points.
Wasilla boys 64, Soldotna 48
The host Warriors dominated the fourth quarter to pick up a Northern Lights Conference victory on Friday.
Jesse Bean had 20 points to pace Wasilla, which outscored Soldotna 20-7 in the final frame. Kelly Seggerman poured in 22 points to lead Soldotna.
Sitka girls 53, Kenai 47
The host Wolves won a nonconference game Friday behind 20 points from Kim Dodson. Lindsay Keener had 21 points for Kenai.
Sitka boys 71, Kenai 63
The host Wolves won a nonconference game on Friday despite a game-high 25 points from Kevin Epperheimer.
Homer girls 57, Kodiak 48
The Mariners received 22 points from Reba Temple and 18 points from Allison Horazdovsky in picking up a Northern Lights Conference victory on Friday. Alysa Horn had 20 points, while Allison Neussl added 12 points for Kodiak.
Kodiak boys 71, Homer 45
The host Bears blew the Mariners out of the water in the first quarter en route to a Northern Lights Conference victory Friday.
Kodiak took a 25-4 lead after the first quarter. Luke Gilbert and Justin Smith each led Homer with 12 points.
Ninilchik girls 52, Lumen Christi 46
The Wolverines beat the Archangels for the second time this season and ended up handing Lumen Christi its only two losses in the Peninsula Conference on Saturday in Ninilchik.
Ninilchik took a 12-5 lead after the first quarter, but by the end of the third quarter Lumen trailed 42-38. Heidi Skjold led Ninilchik with 12 points, while Kendra Moerlein had 10 points. For Lumen, Kara McNeal had 15 points, while May Henry and Nikelle Kruger each had 12 points.
Ninilchik boys 81, Lumen Christi 41
The host Wolverines cruised to a Peninsula Conference victory over the Archangels Saturday behind 18 points from Danny Roderick, 17 points from Austin Vanderford, 16 points from Jesse Leman and 14 points from Deonte Powe. Paul Barras had 15 points for Lumen.
Homer girls 44, Kodiak 39
The host Mariners picked up a nonconference victory over the Bears on Saturday night. Reba Temple had 18 points for Homer, while Allison Horazdovsky had 13 points. Alysa Horn had 21 points for Kodiak.
Kodiak boys 64, Homer 46
The host Bears notched a nonconference victory over the Mariners on Saturday. Luke Gilbert had 16 points for Homer, while Justin Smith added 10.
