David W. 'Dave' Billingsley
Lifelong Alaska Native and Kenai resident David W. “Dave” Billingsley died Thursday, March 2, 2006, at his home. He was 50.
A celebration of his life will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 7, at the Kenai Merit Inn in Kenai. Chaplain Keith Randall will officiate.
Mr. Billingsley was born Sept. 7, 1955, in Anchorage. He graduated from West High School and worked in the oil field. From 2001 until his death, he worked as a deckhand for Crowley Maritime Services.
He was a member of the Inland Boatman Union. He enjoyed boating and snowmachining.
“The two things he valued most were his family and fishing,” his family said.
Mr. Billingsley was preceded in death by his mother, Nancy Frasier; and two brothers.
He is survived by his daughter, Charlette Jo Person of Fresno, Calif.; grandson, Ara Josiah Person of Fresno; longtime partner, Margaret “Maggie” Sullens of Kenai and her family, David and Robyn Sullens; their children, Sean Luc, Vanessa and Lil David, Travis Sullens and his wife, Sandra, their children, Sherri, Taylor and Dylan; and special friends, Don McManamy, Rick Gregory, Sid Morris, Bobby Blackwood, Jimmy Caldwell, Tom Salmon and Gordon and JoAnne Tibbetts.
Arrangements were made by Peninsula Memorial Chapel in Kenai.
