Donation turns reading event into successful celebration

The Kenai Community Library would like to thank Phillips Alaska for its support of Read Across America.

On Saturday, approximately 150 people attended a birthday party for Dr. Seuss at the library. The grant from Phillips Alaska allowed us to purchase a "Cat in the Hat" costume, order a cool "Cat in the Hat" birthday cake from the Cake Lady and persuade Carol Ford to perform "Horton Hears a Who."

The party was a success because of Phillips Alaska's generous donation.
