Soccer registration continues

The Kenai Peninsula Soccer Club will hold tryouts Friday. It is a competitive club for kids that want to take their soccer play to the next level. It has teams for kids ages 9 to 18.

Little league begins registration

The Kenai Little League will hold registration from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and March 19 and April 2 and 9 at the Kenai Safeway Store or online at www.eteamz.com-/KenaiLittleLeague.

Rogers benefit dinner planned

A spaghetti feed to help raise funds for Landon Rogers, 2, will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Kenai Elks Lodge. There also will be split the pot. The cost for dinner is $5 per person or $20 per family. All proceeds will help with the cost of his medical expenses at UCLA Medical Center in California. Relay for Life planning meeting set

Relay for Life will hold a planning meeting March 14 at Central Peninsula Hospital.

For more information and time, call Lisa at 262-6656. Information also will be available at the Health Fair on March 12.

Teams can register then or decorate a luminaria in honor or memory of someone.

The Relay for Life will be held June 3 and 4 at Skyview High School. It is a fund-raiser to help in the fight against cancer.

PTSA to discuss gangs

Parents for a Safe Community will meet at 6:30 p.m. Thursday in the Soldotna High School teachers' lounge. The topic will be "Gangs, Bullying and Harassment" The Soldotna Police Department will lead the forum, which is sponsored by the SoHi PTSA. It is open to the public.

Teen dance slated

The Boys and Girls Club Teen Center in Kenai will host a middle school dance from 7 to 10 p.m. Friday.

Admission is $4 for members or $5 for nonmembers.
