Oilers announce signing of pitcher

The Peninsula Oilers have announced the signing of junior right-handed pitcher Dave Roberts of Long Beach State University. In 2007, Roberts made 28 appearances at Long Beach State. He went 4-1 with a 2.92 ERA in 37 innings. Roberts, who is 6-foot-0, 215 pounds, is majoring in communications and calls Renton, Wash., home.
