Cribbage players meet at 3 p.m. Saturday's at the Kenai Merit Inn.

Nikiski North Star Elementary welcomes Julie Hobby-Wheeler as an assistant in its kitchen.

Former Nikiski resident Danny Carew will marry Julie Swartwout of Wisconsinin Denver Colo. April 8. Danny is a graduate of Nikiski Middle-High School, a graduate of NorthWest Nazarene College and a member of the Nikiski Nazarene Church.

Danny's family members whowill attend the wedding are his mother, Theresa Bowdan, his father, Robert Carew; sister, Stephanie Carew; and grandparents, Jim and Joy Carew. Visit to see a picture of the future Mr. and Mrs. Danny Carew.

Adult Dodge Ball League is held at the Nikiski Community Recreation Center Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m.

This is open to players 17 and older. There is a fee of $20 per participant. For more information, call Rachel Parra at 776-8800. The season runs through April 5.

The North Peninsula Recreation Area is offering gym times for the following groups: Adult open gym: Mondays from 8 to 10 p.m; toddler time: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.; home school open gym: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1 to 3 p.m.; family open gym: Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. All programs are held at the Nikiski Community Recreation Center.
