Guitar lessons offered

The Boys and Girls Club in Kenai is offering beginning and intermediate guitar lessons Monday through April 16 from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. with instructor Mike Morgan.

Cost is $46 for club members and $66 for nonmembers. There also is a $20 fee for an instruction book for new students. Scholarships are available. Participants must be between ages 12 and 18. Guitars can be brought or will be provided.

Class size is limited to 15. For more information, call 283-2682.

Clock makers sought for show

Alaskan Gift and Gallery is looking for sundial, hour glass and clock makers who are interested in being part of a "Time In Motion" show scheduled for April and May. For more information, call 283-3655 or stop in and ask for Marty before March 30.

Poetry contest seeks entries

The International Library of Poetry will award $58,000 in prizes in this year's International Open Poetry Competition. The deadline is April 30. The contest is free and open to the public.

To enter, send one original poem, any subject or style, to The International Library of Poetry, Suite 19910, 1 Poetry Plaza, Owings Mills, MD 21117. The poem should be 20 lines or less, and the poet's name and address should appear on the top page. Entries must be postmarked or sent via the Internet.
