Kimberly Culbertson and Esteban Gomez were married in an outdoor ceremony Saturday, Sept. 21, 2002, at the Rierdan Mansion Historic State Park in Flagstaff, Ariz.
The bride is the daughter of Lee and Paulette Culbertson of Nikiski. She graduated from Kenai Central High School in 1987, attended the University of Alaska Anchorage from 1988 to 1989 and graduated from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff in 1992 with a degree in science. In May 2002 she graduated from Northern Arizona University with a degree in dental hygiene and is employed as a dental hygienist.
The groom is the son of Leon Gomez and Jennie Gonzales of Flagstaff. He graduated from high school in Flagstaff in 1987. In 1992, he received a degree in speech communication at Northern Arizona University and in 1996 he graduated from the university of Arizona Law School in Tucson, Ariz. He is employed as an advocate for the state and the city enforcing land-use ordinances.
The bride rode to the wedding in a horse-drawn carriage. Her sister, Celeste Culbertson Deem, was matron of honor. Rachel Wardell Reagan was a bridesmaid and her yellow Labrador retriever, Bristol, was ring bearer.
Kimberly and Esteban had dated in 1992, when they were both ski instructors. They were reunited in 1999.
The couple honeymooned for two weeks in Costa Rice. They live in Phoenix.
