An Evening with Ed Tussey

Posted: Tuesday, March 09, 2004

Hosted by Frames & Things at Blazy Mall, Ed Tussey introduced his newest oil on canvas, Tern Lake. You were able to see a perfect example of the intricate detail in his work. Collectors are drawn to the style in which Ed carefully defines and realistically portrays birds, mammals and marine life in their natural setting.

Alaska is a never ending source of inspiration for this artist.

Winner of National and State awards for his work, Ed is a full time freelance artist that captures the majesty of Alaska's interior.

Standing room only to talk to Ed Tussey.

Ed studied Art and Oceanography in Washington and has spent countless hours in remote wilderness areas and traveled extensively throughout the coastal waters of Alaska, Pacific Ocean and the Bering Sea.

Frames & Things features artwork from many other Alaskan artists whose works of art are displayed in homes and businesses throughout Alaska as well as the lower 48. Just walking through the gallery you can and will feel how easily the artist was inspired to paint, draw or photograph the image you see. Beautifully displayed in matted frames professionally done by the staff, it's easy to get caught up in the awe of the artists work.
