The students thank the staff for their work on Love of Reading Week activities. Also, thanks to Mary Fischer who coordinated many activities to celebrate reading at the school, and to the families that came to the Read Around.

Title I parents and students are invited to a "Bingo for Books" night at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in the library.

Fun Fest is from 3:30 to 5 p.m. March 16.

Ms. Ralston's first graders celebrated Love of Reading by going to Creative Play day care and reading to the children.

For science, students are learning about the physics of sound. The students learned that high frequency equals high pitch and low frequency equals low pitch. They did several different hands-on experiments dealing with vibration and sound. The students also learned how sound travels through water and air.

T-shirt orders are due Monday.
