Amnesty International presentation set

Counseling service board meeting slated
The board of directors of Central Peninsula Counseling Services will meet at 5:30 p.m. today at 506 Lake St. in Kenai. It is open to the public. For more information, call 260-3691.
Parenting seminar scheduled
Author Rick Johnson will host a parenting seminar, Dynamite Dads, from 6 to 9:30 p.m. March 31 at the Challenger Learning Center of Alaska and a Courageous Moms seminar from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 1, also at the center.

Bear baiting clinic planned
The Alaska Department of Fish and Game will hold three free black bear baiting clinics on the peninsula. Clinics are approximately three hours long and will be held at 6 p.m. April 4 at the Kenai River Center at 514 Funny River Road, 6 p.m. April 16 at Seward High School in Room 201 and 6 p.m. April 28 at the Soldotna Sports Center during the Kenai Peninsula Sport, Recreation and Trade Show. Those who have attended a clinic and been certified do not need to take it again. Hunters may not register a bait station in Units 6D, 7, 14A, 14B, 15, 16A or 20B unless they have successfully completed a Fish and Game-approved bear baiting clinic.
