Despite a challenging economy, KeyBank's Alaska District has been named the 2010 District of the Year among KeyBank's 21 districts nationwide. According to Soldotna branch manager Lisa Roberts, the award recognizes the highest ranking district based on overall financial performance, service to clients and commitment to community, "We have been in the top 5% nationally twice so we are very excited to have been number one in 2010," said Roberts in an interview with the Dispatch. In a news release Brian Nerland, president of KeyBank's Alaska District said, "Our bankers work as a team to provide strong financial solutions and advice, and we are grateful to those Alaskan consumers, businesses, non-profits and public entities that have rewarded us with their business."
Customer service is always a top priority at KeyBank added Roberts, "We do our very best to understand all of the aspects of our clients financial needs, personal or business. We know our regular customers by name and we have a great team here at the Soldotna Branch with Breanna Godes, Nichole Kennedy, Shirley Lowe, and Shereida Evans. We've worked very hard here and are very proud to be part of the Alaska team that earned this award, but it's our great customers that have made us number 1 in the nation." KeyBank Alaska District's performance highlights include increasing deposits throughout the year 2010, achieving excellent customer services survey scores, and demonstrating a commitment to the community through volunteerism and philanthropy.
