Longtime Kenai resident, Timothy Wayne Linngren, 53, died Sunday, March 6, 2011, at his home in Kenai after a long battle with cancer.
Memorial services will be held 3 p.m. Friday, March 11, 2011, at Peninsula Memorial Chapel, 5839 Kenai Spur Highway, in Kenai. Pastor Pisa Faumui will be officiating.
Mr. Linngren was born May 22, 1958, to Michael and Norma (Kucker) Linngren, in Watertown, S.D. He lived in Montana, Washington, South Dakota, North Dakota and Wisconsin before moving to Alaska in 1985. Mr. Linngren worked for ASRC on the North Slope and for Big "T" Fishing Guide Services fishing on the Kenai and Kasilof River for 23 years. He loved fishing, camping, Harley riding and spending time with his friends and family.
The family wrote, "He will be greatly missed by his daughter Shawny and everyone who knew him."
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his daughter, Shawny, of Kenai; stepdaughter; Jennifer and stepson, Roy.
Arrangements were made by Peninsula Memorial Chapel.
