Drag racing meeting scheduled
The Kenai Peninsulas drag racers will hold an organizational meeting March 20 at the Kenai Merit Inn on Willow Street in Kenai from 7 to 9 p.m.

SeaLife Skijor 2000 set for Saturday
The SeaLife Skijor 2000, a six-kilometer skijor race benefiting wildlife rehabilitation at the Alaska SeaLife Center, is set to go for Saturday at Exit Glacier Road in Seward.
Registration forms can be obtained by calling the SeaLife Center at (800) 224-2525, extension 340, or requested by fax at (907) 224-6320. Participants may also register on race day at the starting line between 9 and 10 a.m. A registration donation of $20 is suggested for participants 15 years old and older or $15 for those younger than 15.
Participants registered before Friday will be eligible for door prizes, and all skijorers will receive a day pass for the SeaLife Center.
The skijor race will take place in conjunction with classical and freestyle cross-country skiing races sponsored by the Seward Military Resort and the Seward Chamber of Commerce. The skijor section of the event is scheduled to start at 11 a.m.
Rusty Blades Challenge set for March 17 to 19
The Rusty Blades Tier II Challenge will be held at the Soldotna Sports Center from March 17 to 19. The tournament will feature 10 adult league coed teams, including five from the central Kenai Peninsula. There also will be teams from Homer, Fairbanks and Anchorage.
The action will start at 9:15 p.m. on March 17. On March 18, the games will run from 8:15 a.m. to 8:15 p.m. Finally, the games on March 19 will go from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
