Soldotna resident Daniel D. Jorgensen died Thursday, March 7, 2002, in Eagle River. He was 25.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Sterling Baptist Church. Pastor Lex DeLong will officiate. Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. Monday at Peninsula Memorial Chapel.

Pallbearers will be Dan Jorgensen, Jared Jorgensen, Mike Minogue, Burr Maly, Shane Udelhoven and Paul Kopeky.

Mr. Jorgensen was born Dec. 20, 1976, in Anchorage. He graduated from Skyview High School in 1995. He attended college in Portland, Ore., Denver, Colo., and the University of Alaska-Anchorage, majoring in biology.

He worked for the Alaska Department of Fish and Game.

Mr. Jorgensen enjoyed remote hiking, camping and fishing. He was an avid body builder and snowboarder. He enjoyed life with his loving brother and friends.

His family said, "Dan was a gentle and loving son. He and Jared were not only brothers, but best friends. He was loved by his mother and father and will live in their hearts forever. Dan, you are now a loving angel in God's arms. You are in our hearts, and you will be loved and missed beyond belief."

Mr. Jorgensen was preceded in death by his grandfather, Cliff Jorgensen; grandparents, Sylvester Lee and Mary Virginia Baker; and an uncle, Richard Baker. He is survived by his parents, Dennis and Judy Jorgensen; brother, Jared Jorgensen; grandmother, Onita Jorgensen of Eau Claire, Wis.; aunts and uncles Curtis and Bonnie Dahl of Eagle River, Travis Baker of Soldotna, David and Cindy Baker of Pennsylvania, Clyde and Veronica Keanaaina of Eagle River, Curtis Jr. and Kelly Dahl of Hawaii, Wendy and Kevin McIndoo of California, Eric Dahl of Alaska, Barbara Dahl of Eagle River, John Morin of Alaska, Curt and Tony Fisher of Soldotna, Kim Baker-Minogue and Michael Minogue of Sterling, Rocky and Barbara Morin of Alaska, Gary and Tracy D'Alessandris, Craig and Lisa D'Alessandris, Shanie and Robert Stacho, David Baker, Richard Baker and Christopher Baker, all of Pennsylvania, Dan and Peace Jorgensen and Marina Jorgensen of California, Keith and Carol Jorgensen, Kirk Jorgensen, Steffanie Jorgensen, Shelly Jorgensen, Jerry and Karen Jorgensen, all of Eau Claire, Wis. and Jimmy Jorgensen and Stacy Jorgensen of Minneapolis, Minn.
