ANCHORAGE (AP) -- Four men survived gunshot wounds late Friday and early Saturday in three separate shootings. Another man survived after shooting himself.

Anchorage police said Christopher Hillmer, 23, and Dwayne Dollison Jr., 20, were shot at 9:10 p.m. Friday as they sat in a Jeep near a nonalcoholic strip club downtown.

Several shots were fired from a small red car, police said, hitting Hillmer in the head and Dollison in the back. Both were hospitalized.

At about 10:25 p.m. Friday, a 19-year-old walking on North Bliss Street with a friend was shot in the right thigh by someone in a passing car, said police Sgt. Ray Jennings.

Neither man could describe the car or the people in it, Jennings said. The injured teen was transported to Providence Alaska Medical Center.

Also, 23-year-old Mark Nicholson said he was on his way home about 3 a.m. Saturday when someone shot through the back window of his 1996 Dodge Neon as he drove west on Northern Lights Boulevard near Turnagain Street.

Either broken glass or a bullet grazed the top of his head, cutting his scalp, he said.

Nicholson said he did not know anything about the earlier shootings and did not know who would want to shoot him.

Police also surrounded the home of an armed man in South Anchorage, Jennings said. The man waved a gun around, threw guns outside and shot himself in the stomach. He was taken to a hospital.
