Hall walking The Soldotna Middle School halls are open to teens and adults for out-of-the-weather lap walking from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Eight laps is one mile. The cost is $10 per month.
Silk Painting with Joyce Cox Participants will have the opportunity to paint three scarves. No artistic ability is needed. The class is open to adults with a 10-person maximum. It meets from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesdays for two weeks in the Soldotna Middle School art room. The cost is $35 and includes supplies.
First Aid with Diane Campbell This Coast Guard-approved class, taught according to American Safety and Health Institute standards, is open to teens and adults with a six-person minimum and 10-person maximum. It meets from 6:30 to 10 p.m. in the Soldotna Middle School library. The cost is $45.
Showin' Off the Kids There will be a full-costume and prop rehearsal at 4 p.m. in the Soldotna High School Auditorium.
Showin' Off the Kids Lip Sync and Choreography Contest Students in kindergarten through eighth-grade will perform in a fund-raiser for the Soldotna Community Schools summer program at 6 p.m. in the Soldotna High School Auditorium. Admission is $3 for students and $5 for adults.
Alaska Concealed Carry and the Law with Rod Christopher, Roy Gordon, Chuck Bartolini and Phil Nash of the Peninsula Weapons Academy The class will cover firearm safety, handgun operation, firearms and the law, cleaning and storage of firearms, selecting a handgun for self defense, handgun shooting fundamentals, handgun shooting positions, controlling a violent confrontation and a live-fire qualification course. Participants must be 21 or older. It will meet from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Kenai River Center conference room. The cost is $90.
