By Bill Lowe, Sterling
With gas prices climbing above the skies,
I realize there are ways I could improvise;
ride my bike to town for needed exercise,
reduce a few inches on these old thighs.
This decision could be discerned as wise,
but until the thermometer is on the rise,
I'm thinking I'll just painfully compromise,
and when I fuel up, I'll just close my eyes.
