Job well done

Posted: Monday, March 12, 2007

What a day! Job Shadow is an incredible experience, both for the kids and the hosts. For weeks we — KCHS and the Chamber — meet and coordinate this incredible day. Then before we know it, Job Shadow Day is here and the students are off with their hosts to various jobs.

We had 115 students this year, the entire eleventh grade of the KCHS and once again businesses commandeered time from their busy schedules to show a student what it takes to walk in their shoes.

These are the businesses and I would like to thank them, Alaska Best Travel, Alaska State Troopers, Alyeska Sales and Service, Audio Concepts, Big G, Carol Brenckle, Challenger Learning Center, City of Kenai, Mayor Pat Porter, City of Kenai Police Department, City of Kenai, Fire Department, City of Soldotna, Peninsula Clarion, CNK Computer, Dr. Anderson, Dr. Carlson, Dr. Julien, Kenai Yoga, Dr. Snowder, Durainey Crane , Family Table, Fireweed Herb Garden, First National Bank, Freedom Realty, Frontier Community Services, Frontier Physical Therapy, Halcyon, HEA, Central Peninsula Hospital, Kenai Air Traffic Control Tower, Kenai Automated Flight Service Station, Alaska Flying Network, Medallion Foundation, Inc., Kenai Chrysler, Kenai Montessori School, Kenai Peninsula Harley Davidson, Kenai Public Health, Kenai Senior Center, Kenai Peninsula College , KSRM, First Choice Home Health and Hospice, Outlaw Body and Paint, Alaska Department of Fish and Game, Paul Gray, Peninsula Athletic Center, Peninsula Oilers , Bud Ashby, Rick Cupp, River City Books , Spenard Builders Supply, Soldotna High School, Kenai Middle School, Kaleidoscope School, K-Beach Elementary School, Soldotna Middle School, Suzies Restaurant, Tesoro, US Coast Guard, VA Clinic, Wince,Corthel, Bryson, XTO Energy, Zada Friedersdorff, ERA Aviation.
