Rogers benefit dinner today
A spaghetti feed to help raise funds for 2-year-old Landon Rogers will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. today at the Kenai Elks Lodge.
There also will be a split the pot raffle. The cost for dinner is $5 per person or $20 per family. All proceeds will help with the cost of his medical expenses at UCLA Medical Center in California. Crafters, artists sought
Kenai Senior Connections will open a gift shop at Kenai Landing in May and is seeking area artists and crafters interested in selling their items.
Applications are available at Odie's Bead-It shop in the Peninsula Center Mall, the Soldotna Public Library or the Kenai Senior Citizens Center.
Applications and craft samples may be dropped off between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Wednesday at the Kenai senior center. Applicants also may call to make an appointment. For more information, call Shirley Lennox-Hillyer at 283-4156.
Relay for Life planning meeting set
Relay for Life will hold a planning meeting Monday at Central Peninsula General Hospital. For more information and the time, call Lisa at 262-6656.
Relay for Life will be held June 3 and 4 at Skyview High School. It is a fund-raiser to help in the fight against cancer.
Genealogical society to meet
The Totem Tracers Genealogical Society will present a class on using the family history catalog at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Family History Center in Soldotna. For more information, call 283-4481.
Family dog class offered
The Kenai Kennel Club will offer a basic obedience class for the family dog to teach them to sit, stay, come when called and walk on a leash without dragging the owner down the street.
In addition to the basics, students may teach their dog tricks and learn about other activities they can take part in with their pet.

Corned beef dinner planned
The Sterling Senior Center will host a corned beef and cabbage dinner from 6 to 8 p.m. March 18 at the center in honor of St. Patrick's Day.
Autism support group to meet
An autism spectrum disorders family support group meeting will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. April 6 in Room 107 at Soldotna High School. There will be a two-way video conference with Chris Crawford of the Special Education Service Agency.
