A wine tasting and silent auction to support the AKWI Foundation will take place Thursday, April 7, from 6-- 8 p.m., at the Kenai Visitor Center. Tickets are $25.00 before April 1 and $30 at the door. Wines that will be showcased are Tedeschi Maui Winery, Substance Winery and Champagne Lallier. Kenai Visitors and Cultural Center hosts movie afternoons on March 16, 17 and 18 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday's theme is kid's movies, Thursday's is Alaska, and Friday is short films. Take-a-Break is hosting a Ladies Night Out for teens to 90- year-olds on Tuesday, April 5, 7 -- 8:30 p.m., at Solid Rock Conference Center. Dessert will be served for $7 per person. The Central Peninsula Hospital Auxiliary Book Fair takes place Monday, March 28, 9 a.m. -- 6 p.m.; and Tuesday, March 29, 9 a.m. -- 4 p.m. Come to the Denali Room at CPH to peruse books and gifts galore!
