Area students named to dean's list

Former Kenai resident Kathleen H. Peters was named to the dean's list at the University of Nebraska Lincoln's College of Business Administration, in Lincoln, Neb.

To be named to the list students must achieve a grade point average of 3.5 or higher, based on a minimum of 12 or more graded semester hours.

Peters is a senior studying marketing.

Students get on honor roll

The following students were named to the honor roll at Western Washington University in Bellingham, Wash.

To make the list students must complete at least 14 graded credit hours during a quarter and be in the top 10 percent of their class.

Former Soldotna resident Heidi Rebecca Biggs; and

former Homer resident Joshua Devin Mumm.

Ross to return from Iraq

Former North Kenai resident U.S. Army Spc. Christopher Donald Ross will be returning to Fort Hood, Texas after a year-long deployment with the Bravo Company in Iraq.

Ross is the son of Evelyn Ross of North Kenai, husband of Ronnie and father of Ryan David, Shelby Nicole, Dustin Tyler, Kaitlyn Dawn and Alexander William, all of Fort Hood.

He is a 1998 graduate of Nikiski High School. He joined the military Aug. 1998.

Rolph graduates college

Former Soldotna resident Ashley Elizabeth Rolph recently graduated from Western Washington University in Bellingham, Wash.

She received a bachelor of arts degree in humanities.
