Head Start offers family events
Kenaitze Head Start will host the following events at its center on Willow Street in Kenai: Friday A book trade and luncheon will be held from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Participants are asked to bring books to swap. Children are welcome, but child care will not be provided; and March 27 Norvell Robertson, family service coordinator at Kenaitze Head Start, will teach “How to Get a Job” from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Child care will be provided.

Mexican dinner, auction fundraiser planned
A Mexican dinner and Chinese and silent auctions will be held at 6 p.m. Friday at the Kenai Eagles Arie No. 3525. Proceeds will benefit Donna Swaby to help defray the cost of her injuries sustained in a car accident. The cost is a $10 donation. For more, call 283-4938 or 283-8017.
Free aviation safety class offered
The Medallion Foundation will hold a free aviation safety class from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at the Civil Air Patrol Hanger. Participants will learn how to use the PCATD flight simulators, white out, flat light, risk assessment and more. Steak dinner fundraiser planned
The Sterling Senior Center will hold a steak dinner with all the trimmings fundraiser from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the center. The cost of admission is $12.50 per person. For more information, call 262-6808.
Cribbage tournament canceled
