There is space available for semi-private lessons starting March 30 through April 9.

The annual St. Baldrick's Foundation event in Soldotna to raise money for childhood cancer research is set for March 20 at 6 p.m. at the Soldotna Sports Center.
Volunteers are needed to have their heads shaved in exchange for donations Also needed are items to raffle, barbers and hairstylists and volunteers for the evening of the event.

Independent Living Center and The State of Alaska will present guest speaker Liz Andrews from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 23 and 24 at the Aspen Hotel Soldotna (board room.) Liz Andrews, who has been certified to teach Deaf Advocacy Training will be our featured speaker. Andrews was born and raised in Alaska, experiences deafness herself and is President of the Alaska Deaf Council. She will be assisting ILC and local advocates to understand rights of individuals to effective communication under the Americans with Disabilities Act and will help communities develop an action plan to ensure their rights. The Soldotna Senior Center will host a St. Patrick's Day community celebration dinner and entertainment at 5:30 p.m. March 17. A traditional corned beef and cabbage dinner will all the trimmings will be served. Tickets are $12 for adults and $6 for children 10 years old and younger. Tickets may be purchased at the senior center, Sweeney's Clothing and the Soldotna Chamber of Commerce.
