Alaska celebrates Red Cross month

Posted: Monday, March 15, 2004

More than 90 Alaskans will lose their home and belongings from a disaster sometime this month.

In March, American Red Cross of Alaska will train 2,375 Alaskans to help others.

March is Red Cross Month, and many local individuals and families are grateful the organization is alive and strong in the community.

To read the proclamation signed by Gov. Frank Murkowski, or to learn more about the history of March is Red Cross Month, visit www.alaska.redcross.org.
