Hospital auxiliary meeting set

The Central Peninsula General Hospital Auxiliary will meet at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Borealis room. Anyone interested in volunteering in the waiting room or handing out books or magazines to patients in the hospital may call 714-4778.

League of Women Voters to meet

The Central Peninsula League of Women voters will meet at 4 p.m. Wednesday. Judy DeVito will discuss the latest information on women's heart research.

Eagles to host dinner

The Kenai Eagles Aerie No. 3525 will host a traditional St. Patrick's Day dinner from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Eagles, 5765 Kenai Spur Highway.

Dancing, dessert fund-raiser set

The Skyview High School Jazz Band will host "Live Jazz" a music, dessert and dancing fund-raiser at 7 p.m. Thursday at the school. Admission is $8. Tickets are available at the door or from any jazz band member. Proceeds will help fund the band's participation in the University of Alaska Fairbanks Jazz Festival.

The Kenai Central High School Civic Service class of 2004 will hold a blood drive from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the New Life Assembly of God across from the school.

District 33 Democratic caucus to meet

District 33 Democrats will meet at 11 a.m. Saturday in room 132 at Kenai Peninsula College. Agenda items will include electing district officers and delegates to the state convention, voting on resolutions and offering the opportunity for delegates to express their preference for the presidential candidate. District 33 includes Central, Kenai 1, Kenai 2, Kenai 3, Kalifornsky Beach Road and Soldotna precincts.

Scorekeepers clinic slated

There will be a baseball-softball scorekeepers clinic from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. April 5 at the Soldotna Little League office on Lovers Lane above Alaska Great Skate.

Preschool to hold fund-raiser

The Soldotna Cooperative preschool will hold a spaghetti feed fund-raiser from 4 to 7 p.m. April 17 at the Christ Lutheran Church on the corner of Kenai Spur Highway and Soldotna Avenue.

Tickets will be available at the door for $5 per person or $15 for a family of four. Door prizes will be given. For more information, call 262-9149.

Help available for home day-care providers

The Child Care Food Program is offering help to day-care home providers in the central peninsula area for reimbursements for part of the cost of food served.
