Many thanks to the volunteers, sponsors, families and teachers who spent hours preparing, running and cleaning up after the annual spring carnival.

Older students have been receiving anti-drug training from Trooper Larry Erickson as part of the DARE program. Parents are invited to the DARE graduation at 2 p.m. Thursday.

Cindy Litzenberger, counselor from Soldotna Middle School, came to the school to talk to students going on to middle school. Parents are asked to look over the material that was sent home and return the requested portions right away.

Students have kicked off the annual St. Jude's Hospital Math-a-thon. They will collect pledges, based on the completion of math exercises, which will be used by St. Jude's to do research and treatment of childhood diseases including cancer, HIV, AIDSzz, Hodgins and kidney disease. Community members interested in helping should call a participating student.
