Clinics for Kenai Little League are cancelled for spring break, but will resume March 21, and 23, with the following schedule change: Every Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. for ages 4 to 6; and every Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. for ages 7 to 18. The Nikiski Senior Center's Spring Bazaar and Bake Sale will be held on April 14 and 15 from 10 a.m. -- 4 p.m. each day. Table rentals are $15/day or $20 for both days, per table. The women of Chapter M, Philanthropic Educational Opportunities are offering a $1,500 scholarship for the school year 2011-12. Any woman who has completed at least one semester of college and is planning to enroll or has enrolled at Kenai Peninsula College, Soldotna Campus, is eligible to apply. Applications can be obtained at the KPC Student Finance Office and are duey May 10. Applicants will be notified of the recipient by June 1. The monthly meeting of the Military Order of the Purple Heart will be 1 p.m. March 17 at the VFW post in Soldotna. Any combat wounded veteran is welcome to attend and become a member. Soldotna Senior Center is holding its Endowment Trust Fund St. Patrick's Day community celebration dinner on March 17 at 5:30 p.m. A traditional corned beef and cabbage dinner with all the trimmings will be served.
