Light earthquake reported near Kodiak

PALMER (AP) -- A light earthquake Thursday afternoon was felt on Kodiak Island.

The quake, centered about 25 miles southeast of Kodiak in the western Gulf of Alaska, occurred at 12:38 p.m., according to the Alaska Tsunami Warning Center.

The earthquake had a magnitude of 4.6, according to Alec Medberry of the Tsunami Warning Center.
