Community schools The following is a list of Soldotna Community Schools classes and activities planned for this week. For more information, call 262-6768.

There will be no classes or activities this week due to the Kenai Peninsula Borough School District spring break.

The Honey Bees and Beekeeping class will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 5 at Soldotna Middle School. The cost is $10.

Hunter Education will be offered from 6 to 9 p.m. March 24 to 28 in the Soldotna Mid-dle School library. It is open to participants ages 9 and up, though children ages 9 to 13 must be accompanied by a parent. The class costs $10. Register with the Alaska Department of Fish and Game.

The following is a list of announcements from Homer Community Schools. For more information, call (907) 235-6090.

The spring class schedule will be released soon. Regist-ration for spring classes will be from 3 to 8 p.m. March 25 to 27 at Homer High School or by mail using the form in the catalog.

Canning the Catch will be offered from 6 to 9 p.m. April 8 in the Homer High School home economics room. There is a five-person minimum and 14-person maximum for the class. The course costs $10.

Group piano lessons will be offered Saturdays from April 5 through May 10. Beginners will meet from 9 to 10:30 a.m., and advanced participants will meet from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Both classes will meet at the Calvary Refuge and will cost $90 per person.
