Visitors are encouraged to view the student artwork now on display adjacent to the principal's office. March has been designated as "Youth Art Month," and a variety of classroom creations will be featured the entire month.

The school's Outstanding Masonic Student is Shelby Dykstra. She was selected from among seven finalists. Shelby will receive her award the evening of April 15 at Kenai Central High School. The school congratulates Shelby and all those who were finalists this year.

Mr. Cowans and Mr. Michael's fourth- and fifth-grade classes garnered some skill in fly-tying earlier this month, thanks to the Alaska Department of Fish and Game and the Kenai River Sportfishing Association. By the end of the session, students had tied four flies that can be put to use the next time they go fishing.

Carol Ford will entertain students at 1 p.m. Thursday in the gym with storytelling performed by her and several of her students. Parents are invited to attend.

The annual student-faculty basketball game is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. Friday. Parents are invited to attend.

School will be dismissed at 2:10 p.m. Friday due to the final day of the third quarter.
