The Kenai Visitors and Cultural Center has a digital art show called "Kenai Digital Funk" on display through April 10, a photography and painting exhibit of the Ninilchik State Fair by Natasha Ala Johnson on display through March and a wearable arts exhibit on display through March. The center is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
The Gary L. Freeburg Art Gallery at Kenai Peninsula College has oil paintings by Anchorage artist and longtime Alaskan Carol Crump Bryner on display through April 2. The gallery's hours are 8:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday.

Kaladi Brothers in Soldotna has Sears Elementary School students as its featured artists of the month and hosts a chess club every Saturday at 12:30 p.m.

The Performing Arts Society presents the Riverrun Chamber Players in a concert of string chamber music at 7:30 p.m. April 2 at Christ Lutheran Church in Soldotna. Riverrun is a string quintet made up of musicians from the New York Philharmonic, Orpheus Orchestra and other major symphonies. Tickets are $15 for general admission and $10 for youth and will be available at Alaskan Gift and Gallery and Already Read Books in Kenai and River City Books and Northcountry Fair in Soldotna and at the door. The Kenai Community Library and Friends of the Library will celebrate storytelling with nationally recognized storyteller Donald Davis at 6 p.m. March 29.
Kenai Peninsula College will host a comedy showcase at 8 p.m. April 10 featuring Eric Nieves, a sought-after Latino comic who had a guest-starring role on "NYPD Blue" and appearances on "Showtime at the Apollo" and the BET channel's "Comic View;" and Daniel Tosh, who has participated in international comedy festivals and appeared on "Late Night With David Letterman," "Comedy Central Presents" and Comedy Central's "Premium Blend."

The Fireweed Gallery in Homer presents "Landscapes and Mindscapes A Celebration of Color," a display of paintings and sculpture by Homer artist Peg Belcastro, through March.
The Pratt Museum and Ptarmigan Arts Gallery in Homer has "The Changing Face of Kachemak Bay: An Artist's Perspective," a retrospective show of the art of Richard (Toby) W. Tyler on display. Both shows are on display until the end of March.
The Pratt Museum in Homer presents "Bears, Beetles and Darkened Waters," a stewardship exhibit, and WHIZ Kids learning activity programs Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays in the museum's lower level. Fish feedings are at 4 p.m. Tuesdays and Fridays.
Alaska's Perseverance Theatre in Juneau has launched a regional tour to bring Bridget Carpenter's "UP: The Man in the Flying Lawnchair" to Fairbanks, Whitehorse and Anchorage. The play is a modern comedy for teens and adults. The play will be performed in Anchorage at the Alaska Center for the Performing Arts Sydney Laurence Theatre at 8 p.m. today, Friday and Saturday and at 2 p.m.
The Alaska Bear Festival will host a Film Fiesta on bears March 27 at the Wendy Williamson Auditorium at the University of Alaska Anchorage.
