Soroptimist organization to meet

Soroptimist International of the Twin Cities will hold its board meeting at 5:30 p.m. today at the Peninsula Christian Center at the corner of Farnsworth and Cohoe in Soldotna.

Coal-bed methane to be discussed

DAV to meet today

Builders association meeting scheduled

The Kenai Peninsula Builders Association will meet at 6:30 p.m. today at Don Jose's Restaurant in Kenai. The featured speaker will be Ralph Linn of the city of Soldotna. His topic will be an update on proposed code revisions. The public is invited to attend. For more information, call 283-8071.

Dancing, dessert fund-raiser set

The Skyview High School Jazz Band will host "Live Jazz," a music, dessert and dancing fund-raiser, at 7 p.m. today at the school. Admission is $8. Tickets are available at the door or from any jazz band member. Proceeds will help fund the band's participation in the University of Alaska Fairbanks Jazz Festival. KRSMA board meeting scheduled

The Kenai River Special Management Area advisory board will meet at 7 p.m. today at the Kenai River Center. The topics will be the statewide comprehensive outdoor recreation plan, Kenai River working group discussion and commercial operator committee report. The public is invited to attend. Fish and game advisory group to meet

Republican Party convention planned
